Spring Toast Party

Blood orange and honey whipped goat cheese toast

-1 slice of Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Flaxseed Bread

- honey whipped goat cheese (recipe below)

- fresh blood orange peeled and sliced

-extra toppings optional: fresh and dried edible flowers, bee pollen, and fresh honeycomb

 

Toast the bread. Spread an even layer of honey whipped goat cheese. Top with fresh blood orange slices and any additional toppings of your choice.


 

Strawberry basil balsamic and whipped goat cheese toast

-1 slice of Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Flaxseed Bread

- honey whipped goat cheese (recipe below)

-strawberry basil balsamic sauce (recipe below)

-extra toppings optional: fresh fruit, fresh and dried edible flowers, granola,bee pollen, and fresh basil.

 

Toast the bread. Spread an even layer of honey whipped goat cheese. Top with strawberry basil balsamic sauce and any additional toppings of your choice.
 


For the honey whipped goat cheese:

-2oz of goat cheese

- 2 teaspoons of raw honey

Add these ingredients to a food processor and blend for a minute until creamy.

 

For the strawberry basil balsamic sauce:

- ½  cup of fresh or frozen strawberries

- 1-2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar

- 2 teaspoons of maple syrup (adjust accordingly)

- 2-3 leaves of freshly chopped basil

 

Add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan and cook on medium low heat for 4-5 minutes. If using frozen strawberries it may take longer. Muddle the strawberries lightly.


 

Avocado toast

-1 slice of Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Flaxseed Bread

-cream cheese

-½ of a ripe avocado sliced

- chopped radish

- chopped cucumber pieces

-microgreens

 

Toast the bread. Spread an even layer of cream cheese on. Top with microgreens, avocado, and the rest of toppings.


 

Smoked salmon toast

-1 slice of Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Flaxseed Bread

-cream cheese

-a few capers

- chopped radish

-chopped red onion

- chopped cucumber pieces

-fresh dill

-arugula

-microgreens

 

Toast the bread. Spread an even layer of cream cheese on. Top with microgreens, arugula, salmon and the rest of toppings.
